The Jasmine & Central Delivery Suite Snow-Drop Appeal has been set up by Greg & Jen to raise £100,000 towards setting up a new Specialist Unit or area for Bereaved Parents of Still Birth, Miscarriage and Early Baby Loss at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth which is ideally situated away from the busy maternity area hopefully easing the trauma and loss they will experience in such tragic times.
We also would like to provide specialist support for families to help them through their bereavement and loss with experienced specialised staff.
Once we meet our objective at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth, Devon we would like to try to extend this appeal to other hospitals to ensure all hospitals have the same facilities.

Holly is 4 years old and has Rett Syndrome. This a rare and very severe neurological disorder which almost exclusively effects girls. Holly can not talk, walk, use her hands, feed or dress herself and has just recently started to have breathing problems. It is likely that she will suffer epilespsy and scoliosis. Holly will need 24 hour care for the rest of her life.
Battledown Centre for Childrens Families have helped Holly's family through this change in their lives, by supporting them and teaching Holly through therapies, daily routines and allowing her how to grow.
Essentially we are helping Holly's family fundraise for an Eye Gaze computer. The Eye Gaze computer will allow Holly to commincate and learn, hopefully giving her some independence. Holly's family will work with her teachers and therapists to ensure that she uses it in the right way, and continues to enjoy school, and learn.

My name is Sara and I am a mum to one angel. Isla was born forever sleeping on 13.7.12. I gave birth to her at Derriford Hospital on the main delivery ward. Thanks to the amazing work of Greg and Jen of the Snowdrop Appeal, I was able to spend a few days with Isla after she was born. The Snowdrop Appeal first raised money for 2 cold cots to be put into Derriford, which means families that lose a baby to late miscarriage or stillbirth get to spend some time with their baby. They are now raising money for a separate area for such parents, which would have been amazing for us as we spent a whole week on the delivery ward, surrounded by crying babies and screaming mothers.
