Training TipsIts a Team thing
Whether you're on your own and relying on teams around you, or registering as a whole team, this team work can be used to your advantage by giving each other encouragement - particularly those team members who may struggle with certain aspects of the course. You will also have someone there when you get to those boggy obstacles and need help to get out..................... Finally - and just as importantly - you must also finish as a team as the Finish Line Stewards will not give you a time until your last team member crosses the line. What to wear You are strongly advised to wear clothing relevant to what you are going to be undertaking - running gear, waterproof stuff or fancy dress is just fine! Footwear could be trainers or walking shoes or boots but will get very muddy!! Bring some black sacks for your kit if you want to keep it for next time! Training Tips REMEMBER - this is a military fitness course and you should train like the Royal Marines do! Hah! Only kidding - just have fun but go at your own pace - be reasonable!! We have qualified first aiders at the event! DO's
All injuries must be recorded and dealt with by a member of the team on the day! |
